In this quick guide, we'll show you the ropes on how to partner up with MagMod (or any other awesome creators) to skyrocket your reach and engagement.

What's an Instagram Collab Post?

An Instagram Collab post is a nifty feature that lets up to four users share the same post or Reel, meaning the post pops up on all your profiles. You'll share all the views, likes, and comments, making it a fantastic way to engage with each other's followers and get some significant exposure. 🤝

Why Collaborate with MagMod?

By collaborating with our engaged community, you can significantly expand your reach and showcase your photography talents to a broader audience. This boost in visibility gives the ol' Instagram algorithm a nudge (come on, IG, work with us here!) to ramp up your engagement with more likes, comments, and shares signaling to Instagram that your content is of high quality.

Begin by Uploading Your Photo, Carousel or Reel?

Begin by uploading your Photo, Carousel, or Reel that features the use of a MagMod modifier to your Instagram feed.

Now, let's talk captions. It's crucial to give a shoutout to the specific MagMod modifier you used. Why? Because we're on a mission to make our Instagram feed not just pretty, but also super informative.

👉🏼 Don't worry; your MagMod mention doesn't have to be the star of the show in your caption. We understand if your followers aren't all MagMod buffs (yet!). Start with a riveting tale about the epic wedding, the love-struck couple, or that high school Senior who's cooler than cool because of the rad images you created.

Just remember to round off your caption by noting the MagMod modifier you employed to achieve your desired lighting effect. That way all the MagMod followers can bask in your awesomeness! ⚡️

✅ BEFORE PUBLISHING Add @MagnetMod as a Collaborator

Please note that to collaborate with someone on Instagram, you must add them as a Collaborator before publishing. Collabs on Instagram are like that one friend who needs to know about the party ahead of time – you gotta invite them before it starts, or they get all upset!

Unlike Tags, where you can slap them on like a last-minute accessory even after your post goes live, Collabs must be on the guest list from the get-go.

So, double-check before you dazzle the world with your post – no post-publish party crashers allowed in the world of Instagram Collabs!

Here’s How To Do It:

Here's the step-by-step on how to make us your official post collab partner:

1️⃣ — First up, under that "Write a caption or add a poll..." section, you'll see a button that says "Tag people." Give that a tap.

2️⃣ — Next, hit "Invite collaborators"

3️⃣ — Time to find us in the crowd! In the "Search for a person" box, type in "magnetmod." Yep, we go by MagMod, but on Instagram, we're all formal with our official name, MagnetMod.

4️⃣ — Spot "magnetmod" in the search results? Click on it, and voilà, we're now part of your Insta-collab! Woot woot

Once you publish your post, Instagram will ping us in our messages. For your masterpiece to land on our feed, we need to give it the thumbs-up and accept the collaboration.

It's Not Working

Are we Not Showing Up in the List?

This hiccup is likely because your post or reel includes a song that our account, being a Business type, doesn't have access to. Instagram's rules are different for Business accounts like ours – we don't get the same music privileges as Personal accounts do. 🎶

So, What's the Fix?

To ensure a collab works, pick tunes we can use as well. How?

Check out the reels on our MagnetMod account and see what jams we're using. You can even tap on those songs to find them. If we've used it, you're in the clear! 🎸 (guitar riff!)

Typically, music that our Business type of account is allowed to use is those incredible mixes of songs, like a DJ remix, audio clips of people talking, etc.

There are lots of fun trending options for audio tracks to use! Again, browse all the reels we have already posted to see what kind of music our account is allowed to use, that's an excellent place to start!

Accepting the Collaboration

When you add us as a Collaborator, we get a message in our Instagram inbox.

However, we've turned off those non-stop beeps and boop notifications on our phones (because who can think straight with all that noise, right?).

We check our inbox a few times a day, but there are times, like when we're jet-setting to conferences or exploring, when we might not peek at our messages for a bit.

So, if you don't hear back immediately, don't worry – we're not ignoring you, we're just off doing MagMod things! ⚡️

Do We Accept Every Collaboration?

Well, as much as we'd love to, the answer is...nope. Imagine if we did – our followers would be swimming in a sea of MagMod content! It'd be like a never-ending MagMod marathon (and even too much of a good thing can be, well, too much).

So, just like a chef carefully choosing the perfect ingredients, we've gotta be selective about what makes it onto our feed. It's kind of like sifting through a treasure chest – we're always on the lookout for those sparkling gems 💎 that show off the magic of MagMod.

What about the Form Link in Our Bio?

Yes! You can use this form to send images and videos to us that we can feature on our feed.

We have always tagged the photographers who submitted the images in the past, but from now on, we will add them as collaborators. So be on the lookout for a message asking us to collaborate with you in your messages.

Your Instagram feed might have its style and vibe, and that's cool. If you decide not to accept our collaboration request, no hard feelings. Our aim in adding you as a collaborator is to give your talent and name some extra spotlight, making it easy for others to discover who's behind the incredible photo beyond the mention in the caption.

If Yours is Not Accepted

If your post isn't accepted, don't let it get you down. Only you can see the "collab not yet accepted" notice, so there's no public spotlight. Sadly, there isn't a way for us to not accept and maybe coach you why we didn't. Otherwise, we would use that feature. Instagram, if you are listening, please add that feature in the future.

If we don't accept a collab, take it as an opportunity to dive back into our feed, see what's popping, and give it another go.
